AFTERSCHOOL PLAYWORKERS

To start September 2021

An exciting opportunity is available for suitable applicants to join our team as Afterschool Playworkers. This role involves working between 2-5 days weekly (please specify how many/which days you are available to work on your job application form), during Bristol School Terms. Hours 2.45pm-6.30pm.

We are looking for reliable and hard-working staff.

Please note: For this role, holidays/time off, must be taken outside of Bristol School Terms (i.e. during school holidays).

 

  • Pay rate: £7.70 (unqualified/under 25) £8.21 (unqualified/25+), £8.50 (L3 or equivalent).

  • L2/3 Childcare qualification preferred, experience working with children aged 4-13yrs essential.

 

The position involves: Working at our Elmgrove and/or Cotham sites with children aged 4-6yrs and/or 6-11yrs. Organising play and activities, setting up/packing away the play environment, preparing snacks, supervising and interacting with children (inside/outside) and during offsite trips (where applicable), working as part of a team to collect children from classrooms and escorting them to Zebras. Induction and essential training provided.​​​

RECEPTION PLAYWORKER

To start September/October 2021

An exciting opportunity is available for a suitable applicant to join our team as Reception Playworker. This role involves working Monday to Friday at our Elmgrove site during school term-time. The role can be extended to a 22.5hr all year round position to include the school holidays (negotiable). 

  • Hours 2pm-6.30pm.

  • Pay rate: £9.35hr.

  • Level 3 Childcare/Play qualification preferred, experience working with children aged 4/5 yrs essential.

The position involves: Supporting Reception teachers in the classroom at the end of the school day (term time). Providing individual support and care to our youngest children at Afterschool Club, contributing to their school learning diaries. Organising play and activities, setting up/putting away the play environment, cleaning/sanitising, preparing snacks, supervising and interacting with children (inside/outside) and during offsite trips, working as part of a team to collect children from classrooms and escorting them to Zebras. Induction and essential training provided.

DEPUTY MANAGER (Afterschool/Cotham site)

To start September 2021

An exciting opportunity is available for a suitable applicant to join our team as Deputy Manager at our Cotham School site. This role involves working Monday to Friday during school term-time. The role can be extended to a 22.5hr all year round position to include the school holidays (negotiable). 

  • Hours 2.45pm-6.30pm (start time negotiable)

  • Pay rate: £10hr.

  • Level 3 Childcare/Play qualification preferred, experience working with children aged 4/5 yrs essential.

The position involves: Organising play and activities, setting up/packing away the play environment, cleaning/sanisitising, preparing snacks, supervising and interacting with children (inside/outside) and during offsite trips, working as part of a team to collect children from classrooms and escorting them to Zebras.

In addition, the Deputy Manager role includes liasing with staff, ensuring paperwork is available/completed daily, policies and procedures are followed and covering manager as and when needed.

Induction and essential training provided.

BREAKFAST CLUB DEPUTY MANAGER/PLAYWORKERS

We have some exciting opportunites available for suitable applicants to join our team at our Cotham Gardens Primary School site. Termtime roles.

 

Breakfast Club Deputy Manager/5 days weekly termtime.

Breakfast Playworker/2-5 days weekly termtime

(please specify how many/which days you are looking to work on the application form).

 

The playworker position involves: Helping to organise play and activities, setting up/packing away the play environment, preparing snacks, supervising and interacting with children (inside/outside). Walking Reception/Year 1 children to Elmgrove School for the start of the school day. Induction and essential training provided.

In addition, the Deputy Manager role includes liasing with staff, ensuring paperwork is available/completed daily, policies/procedures followed and covering manager when and as needed.

  • Hours 7.15-9.15am

  • Pay rate: Deputy Manager £10/Playworker £8.91hr

  • Previous experience working with children an advantage.
